Our Commitment

SOKOLAI B.V. is committed to making our website accessible to all individuals, including those with disabilities. We strive to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA, and to comply with the European Accessibility Act (EAA, Directive 2019/882) requirements.

Measures Taken

We have taken the following measures to ensure accessibility across our website:

• Semantic HTML: All pages use proper heading hierarchy (h1–h6), landmark regions (<nav>, <main>, <footer>, <section>), and meaningful document structure.
• Keyboard Navigation: All interactive elements (links, buttons, forms) are fully accessible via keyboard. Focus states are visible and logical tab order is maintained.
• Screen Reader Compatibility: ARIA labels, roles, and properties are applied to interactive components. Content is structured for assistive technology comprehension.
• Color Contrast: Text and interactive elements meet WCAG AA contrast requirements — minimum 4.5:1 ratio for body text and 3:1 for large text and UI components.
• Reduced Motion: All GSAP animations respect the prefers-reduced-motion media query. When reduced motion is preferred, animations are disabled or significantly simplified.
• Alternative Text: All images include descriptive alt attributes. Decorative elements are marked with aria-hidden="true".
• Responsive Design: The website functions correctly across devices and screen sizes, including assistive technology configurations. Text can be resized up to 200% without loss of content.

Conformance Status

We aim to conform to WCAG 2.1 Level AA. Our current conformance status is partially conformant — we meet many of the success criteria but are actively working to address remaining gaps. Ongoing audits and improvements are part of our development process.

Known Limitations

Despite our efforts, some areas may have accessibility limitations:

• Some complex visualizations (dependency graphs, node diagrams) may not convey equivalent information to screen reader users. We provide text alternatives where possible.
• Third-party content (Google Fonts, GSAP CDN scripts) is outside our direct control, though we select services with strong accessibility track records.
